Cafe Provence is an award-winning, family owned and run French restaurant. Approaching their 20th year at The Shops of Prairie Village, Owners Joanne and Patrick Quillec have grown Cafe Provence into a staple cuisine attraction right here in the heart of PV.

“We pride ourselves on our impeccable service and authentic French cuisine including escargot, French onion soup, and poulet aux morilles. We hope our customers all feel like they’ve taken a quick trip to France!” shared, Joanne.

Joanne is a Philadelphia native who married Patrick Quillec, a French expat. After a decade of traveling around with their 6 kids they settled in Prairie Village, KS. They have been in the restaurant business together for nearly their whole lives.

”We started Cafe Provence as a way to bring French food to Prairie Village area. The restaurant is truly a family affair. All six of my kids have worked at Cafe Provence, my sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, son-in-laws have all been part of the restaurant.” laughed, Joanne

The Cafe Provence staff is known for their exceptional service, with many employees who have been with Cafe Provence for over a decade. The Quillecs treat their staff like family and know they are part of the reason Cafe Provence has been so successful.

Located in the center of The Shops of Prairie Village, Cafe Provence fits in perfectly with their friendly neighbors, small business and loyal customers.

“We’re blessed to have amazing, loyal customers who have continued to support our small business during this difficult time. Following the start of the pandemic we began offering curbside take-out orders. We also have some very kind and generous neighbors with Chico’s, RSVP, and Dolce who have allowed us to expanded our patio for dinner service while we’ve reduced our seating availability indoors. It takes a (Prairie) Village!” said, Joanne.
