Meet Your Merchant: Rimann Liquors

Photos by Anna Petrow Photography

Rimann Liquors opened in December 1999 and is owned by Mary & Marshall Rimann.  Rimann Liquors is a full-service liquor store with a strong emphasis on wine and craft beer followed by spirits and cordials. The store is stocked with other items as gift wrap, cigars, mixers, wine accessories, greeting cards and numerous gift items.  They go above and beyond to work with customers on special orders and items not regularly stocked in the store.

“We greatly appreciate the community support and rapport plus the many friendships we have made.  Our General Manager, Steve Sharpton, has been working in this location since 1978 (prior to Rimann Liquors, it was Vern Bryant Liquors) and knows so many people and continues to amaze us with who he knows and the relationships he has developed.” smiled Mary.

When Mary and Marshall decided it was time to open a second location in Johnson County, they knew immediately the Shops of Prairie Village would be the perfect fit. Marshall grew up in Reinhardt Estates in Fairway and knew many people in the area. Growing up, Mary, remembers her mom shopping at Adlers Dress Shop, which was one of the first tenants to the current Rimann Liquors.

“I can still see the oringal wallpaper from Adler’s Dress Shop in our back delivery room. Opening the PV location felt like coming home and it was meant to be.” shared Mary.

Located on the north end of The Village, between On the Ball and Village Hairstyling, Rimann Liquors love the camaraderie of fellow merchants and are glad to be amongst them.

Rimann Liquors has been in business for 21 years and they are very thankful to have stayed open and busy during the last several months.

“We have an hourly cleaning protocol regarding all outside door handles, cooler door handles, cart handles, basket handles, counter surfaces, credit card machines and phones.  We have also installed hand sanitizers by each door for customer’s usage.   Masks are required in the store and available to customers.” shared Mary
