Brooke Condie, owner of The Little Gym and Carolyn Huggins, Gym Director are both moms, KU graduates and both share a serious passion for helping make the community a better place for kids and families.

In Spring of 2017, The Little Gym of Kansas City joined the Village Family and opened as  the first one in the area. The Little Gym of Kansas City specializes in unique educational classes that revolve around active play. Owner, Brooke Condie, has a special spot in her heart for Kansas City as well as children’s development.

“Kansas City is a special place and one of the top cities to raise a family. We have great school systems, sports teams, entertainment, restaurants, and the cost of living is relatively low. I had a toddler son at the time who was HIGHLY active, and I realized there is one thing missing…The Little Gym. I believed in the program so much that I felt I needed to fill that void and open my own Little Gym.” – shared owner Brooke.

The Little Gym offer  unique programs that revolve around active play, they complement and enhance the traditional school experience – starting at the age of 10 months. We give children a safe and inspiring space to direct their energy, build confidence, and develop key skills.

“At The Little Gym of Kansas City, we believe kids should be able to act like kids. We also believe fun environments are especially conducive to the kind of learning that prepares them for life’s adventures.” - shared Carolyn Huggins

Located on the westside of the Village, there are plenty of spots for families and kiddos to pop in before or after class.

“We love our neighbors! You will see them having a snack at French Market or Dolce Bakery after class. Families like to get pizza at Minsky’s or parents will shop around at the local shops while their kiddos are in class”- stated Brooke.

Children’s health and safety are the top priority for the staff at The Little Gym. After closing for three months, they reopened with a reduction in capacity for all classes and camps and increased sanitizing procedures. There now is more time between classes, mandatory masks and an increase in safety measures to keep the staff, members and parents safe.

“We are so happy we are able to still see the smiles of all the kids faces and laughter fill the gym during this time! “ smiled Brooke.

If you are interested in signing up for a class, you can visit The Little Gym’s website or call for a free trial class.
